What she is wearing and how she actually is are two different things, and I did not resolve that. I am not sure it can be resolved. There is a light in this canvas that was never in the photograph, and it is there because the contrast needed somewhere to go.
Weeks of it, days at a time, then nothing for a while, then more days. Nobody smoothed this out for a market.
At some point I was done with it. The canvas may not have been.
